A very well rested family
I received a call from a lovely mom named Amy, who had 4 beautiful children that were not sleeping well. Bedtime was a struggle with the older children having many difficulties going to sleep without Mom or Dad in the room only to have one if not both of them in Mom and Dad’s bed by morning. Then there were the younger two darlings, twin babies who also had sleep struggles. Bless this family’s heart, no one was getting enough sleep.
The older girls shared a room and Amy wanted to work with them first. They responded so well to the sleep plan that on the first night they both slept through the night and stayed in their own beds. Naturally Amy was ecstatic but also a bit hesitant to believe it would stay. However every night from then on the girls not only slept through the night, they also enjoyed their new bedtime routine and went to sleep most nights without any trouble.
Next mission…those adorable baby twins. They are 10 months old and both were very inconsistent with their sleep and didn’t fully have independent sleeping skills. Amy would sometimes have to nurse one if not both of them to sleep and often they both woke several times in the night and needed a lot of assistance from Mom to go back to sleep again. On the third night of working with the new sleep plan both babies slept through the night, not to say they don’t have an occassional waking as all babies do but overall their sleep has improved drastically and most nights go on without any difficulty.
Amy and Tyler (Dad) did such an amazing job with these sweet children. They stayed very consistent and made it clear what the new expectations around bedtime were however they were able to deliver it in a loving, supportive way that the children responded very well to and enjoyed. Amy reports that bedtime is a much more pleasant time at their house and everyone seems much more well rested.
It was a true pleasure to work with this family, what a wonderful bunch!
