Most experts agree on 4 to 6 months old for healthy and full term babies.

This can be a little more back and forth. Most of our clients see bedtime improvement quickly, with in a few nights, but for the overnight that can be a bit slower, usually within 2 to 3 weeks the night sleep is better.

Before the consultation

  • We will want to schedule a 15 minute phone call with you to learn a little more about your child’s sleep, get to know you, share how we can help and what program we recommend for you.
  • We will pick a time together to schedule the 90 minute consultation.  This will be when we will go over the sleep plan with you.
  • Then we will send you a questionnaire and sleep logs that you will need to complete so we can write up the sleep plan for your child.

During our time together

  • We will have the 90 minute consultation.  We will go over your questionnaire and discuss how to approach bedtime, night wakings, and naps. We will address all of your questions and concerns.
  • We will discuss the specifics of follow-up support.
  • Then you will want to get everyone who cares for your little one on board and pick the night you want to get the plan started and we will schedule our first follow up call.
  • Last but most important!  Imagine what it will feel like to sleep again!! Soon, you and your baby or older child will be getting a good night’s sleep!

When we say goodbye

  • We will ensure your child’s sleep is at a good spot and most if not all of your sleep goals have been met.
  • We will send you a detailed Tool Kit to address any future sleep changes.
  • You will feel refreshed and back to yourself because you are finally getting some sleep again!

Great question!  No we do not teach a cry it out method however there is some confusion on what a cry it out method means.  A cry it out method is one in which a baby is alone and crying, meaning no one is responding to the baby. That is not something we never recommend.  We really try to minimize crying as much as we can however there is some crying with this process. The difference is we recommend our clients respond to their baby’s crying.

Unfortunately, this is not a tear free process.  For babies it really matters on the baby, we find temperament and how overtired he/she is to be the biggest determining factor on how much crying you will see.  So, some babies will cry a little and some babies will cry more. Our clients tend to see the crying lessen within a week or so. For toddlers or children, we usually don’t see as much crying, more protesting and that tends to lessen quickly.

This can vary from baby to baby.  We find that most breastfed babies can sleep through the night sometime between six and twelve months.  For formula fed babies, usually after four months old if they weigh 15 pounds or more they can usually sleep through the night.

We see clients all over the world.  We meet people face to face, over the phone and email and video conferencing.  Our sleep plans are very detailed anyone, anywhere will be able to easily understand what we recommend.

Absolutely! In fact, most of our clients breastfeed! Breastfeeding and sleeping well can exist and we will teach you how to do that!

We see children of all ages! The most common age we work with is 4 months to 5 years old.  But we have worked with children of all ages. We are doing more education around sleep with newborns. Shannon also works with adults.

Great question!  As long as parents are following our recommendations and there are no underlying health issues we see an almost 100% success rate.

Shannon, the founder of Sleep Well, was one of the first sleep consultants in the country.  She started the business back in 2011 and there were very few sleep consultants out there. So what that means is that she has a lot of practice and experience!  The Sleep Well team is a group of highly educated, well trained sleep specialists that come from backgrounds in education, medicine and psychology. We are always seeking the latest research and knowledge around sleep and trying to deliver the best support and guidance we can to our clients.

Why didn’t we try this sooner?! As we speak he is sound asleep in his crib – and has been since 7:15 pm.

Working with Shannon, I went from 2-3 wake ups every night to 1 or 0. She aligned the plan with my preferred sleep cycle. She was always coaching, never judging. Shannon was great, I have referred MANY people to her! That's the best testament to her work that I can give.
